ScanBeforeEat provides informational food-label and barcode insights powered by automated analysis. It is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.

Health scores, ingredient flags, and recommendations may be incomplete or incorrect. Always read the physical product label and consult a qualified professional for allergies, medical conditions, or dietary needs.

You use the Service at your own risk regarding food choices and health decisions.

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by ScanBeforeEat or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal use.

Product names, trademarks, and label content belong to their respective owners.

The Service relies on third-party data (e.g. Open Food Facts) and AI services (e.g. Google Gemini). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data or APIs.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCANBEFOREEAT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, FOOD CONSUMPTION DECISIONS, OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED OUTPUT.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you use the free Service).

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the version and "Last updated" date. Material changes may require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
